Rashford put Man United ahead in the seventh minute and Hojlund put them two 13 minutes later. But mistakes in Erik ten Hag's defence allowed Porto to restart the game through goals from Pepe and Omorodion. As a result, the second half was a new game for both teams. Omorodion netted his second goal of the night in the 50th minute to give the hosts the lead. Bruno Fernandes was sent off in the 81st minute but the Red Devils were able to reverse their fortunes. Maguire headed home a corner-kick taken by Eriksen in an impressive way to restart the match. The points were shared.
