What was supposed to be a day of celebration in the event of a Real Madrid victory has turned into one of the worst nightmares. 270 fans of the Spanish side have been ripped off after paying more than 1,000 euros.
According to reports in Spain, this large number of fans had booked the flight plus ticket through the Madrid supporters' club 'Capote y Montera', via the travel agency 'Coge la Maleta', for which they paid around 1,095 euros.
However, a concatenation of misfortunes ensued since then. The flight was cancelled due to a breakdown in the plane and the airline has given no other solution.
Subsequently, these fans found out that they had been ripped off for the trip to London. Real Madrid have managed to rebook 16 fans on the flights, while the rest will try to compensate them with VIP box tickets for next season.
