Fede Valverde was in charge of speaking on Wednesday after the victory over Celtic. The Uruguayan scored Real Madrid's fifth goal in the Champions League clash against Real Madrid.
"We've been working well, in the last few minutes we relaxed, but that's normal. The result is what it was," said the Uruguayan midfielder after the crushing victory against the Scots.
The Uruguayan said he was "very happy" to finish as group winners and to be the MVP of the match: "Congratulations to the team, it's part of them too. We took the opportunity and scored the goals we had to score".
"A lot of people around me were quite right, I had to shoot more. I like the instep, it's my strength. Sometimes, with the inside I have the confidence to do it. I'm used to hitting it like that," he explained on 'Movistar'.
The Real Madrid midfielder doesn't care who they play in the last 16: "We have to try to do the best we can, no matter who we play. We have to go for the title, no matter who our opponents are".
