France have found some very good goalkeepers for the next decade. While it is Mike Maignan who is in goal for Les Bleus, behind him are two goalkeepers ready to break down the door.
They are Brice Samba and Lucas Chevalier. The former is already in his thirties, while the latter is the promising youngster who aspires to establish himself in the top flight... and is already doing so.
They are the two goalkeepers who have kept the most clean sheets in Ligue 1 this season. Lens goalkeeper Samba has kept five clean sheets this season. Lille's Chevallier has kept four.
Add to that Chevalier's own fine performances in the Champions League, with Lille having already been able to beat both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
With a Champions League spot at stake, the best defence in the league along with the third best will be fighting for three points to draw level with Olympique de Marseille.
