Neymar has fired back at Rodri after the Manchester City midfielder made a fleeting comment about Vinicius Junior's attitude during recent matches.
The Spain international, when asked about the Brazilian’s conduct on the pitch, offered a superficial observation, suggesting that the Brazilian's actions could sometimes lead to unnecessary drama. However, he stopped short of directly criticising the young star.
"I think Vini is a smart guy and with time he will realise that the more you pay attention on the field, the better you will be. Athletes are not just what they represent on the field, but also off it," the Spaniard said.
The Al-Hilal forward, known for his outspoken personality, responded to the remark in a post on Instagram, where he mocked Rodri's statements. "Now he is a talker," Neymar wrote on Instagram with a facepalm and laughing emojis.
The 32-year-old questioned why Rodri felt the need to address the issue publicly, implying that the Spaniard was merely trying to stir up controversy with a statement that lacked depth.
