'La Gazzetta dello Sport' reports that AC Milan's interest in Chelsea's Hakim Ziyech could end up in an offer for close to 20 million euros in January. The Moroccan has been selected for the World Cup in Qatar in which he will have the opportunity to get his career back on track after a poor time in the Premier League. Tottenham are also interested in him.

Hakim Ziyech is no longer the player who shone at Ajax. This season, he has played just nine games for Chelsea and he started two of them. The fact he is playing less, that said, has not prevented his agent from receiving interest from top projects like that of AC Milan, Tottenham or Man Utd... and there is news from AC Milan.
According to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', the Italians could make an offer of around 20 million euros for him when the window opens in January. It is an amount which is in keeping with his current market value of 19.6 million, although he cost Chelsea 40 million to move from Ajax. He has been unable to replicate his form in West London though.
The World Cup in Qatar is a good platform for him to showcase his talent for Morocco and get back to his best form. He is considered one of the leaders of the national team and, if nothing goes wrong, he will be a regular starter, so he will have at least three games in the group stage to show his form. If he does so, he might get a better offer from those at the San Siro.
There is also the possibility of Chelsea being happy to sell Ziyech for half of what he paid for him a few years ago. As he has a contract until 2025, it might be ideal for him to leave so they do not lose any more money on his sale. Another option is for them to let him go out on loan for a while so that he can up his game.
