Injured on 18 October 2023 with the Brazilian national team, Neymar will have been out of action for a full year in the coming weeks. The Brazilian star tore the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee at international duty and has not yet been able to return to action, although he did manage to return to training some time ago.
A couple of weeks ago, the club decided not to register Neymar in the Saudi league. As a result, Jorge Jesus' men ensured that they could count on Marcos Leonardo without having to leave out any foreigners during the final stages of the player's development.
In the Asian Champions League, in any case, the former PSG player still had the option of making a comeback once his recovery was complete. Now it has emerged that he may not be ready to play in the tournament between now and January.
Coach Jorge Jesus hinted that it will be in the first month of 2025 before Al-Hilal re-evaluate Neymar's condition to bring him back.
"He is a very important player not only for Al-Hilal, but also for the Saudi League. Unfortunately, I cannot give an exact date for his return. We will re-evaluate his status in January 2025," he told 'GOAL'.
