Several of France's big names have already made the move out East, including Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante, and now the Saudis are back again. According to Santo Aouna, journalist for 'Foot Mercato', Al-Nassr have reportedly had a meeting with the representatives of Antoine Griezmann this week in London.
The aim of the meeting was to feel out the situation and understand better the possibility of getting a signature from the Frenchman.
Griezmann has a release clause of €25 million with Atletico Madrid, a price that in no way frightens the Riyadh-based club, who have begun negotiations.
A sale this summer for Atletico would be a loss for the club in sporting terms, but would also cut back on a large wage bill. What's more, 'Los Colchoneros' are currently experiencing major economic difficulties. The influx of funds could help them reinforce their squad in the summer window.
If the deal goes through, Griezmann would be a major asset for the Saudi club. This season, the Frenchman has enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career, scoring 16 goals and providing 18 assists.
And Al-Nassr don't look like stopping there, as the transfer of Hakim Ziyech is reportedly very close to being concluded and Brozovic remains on their shortlist to join international superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
