Alaba and Rudiger set to miss out Osasuna clash

Having beaten Pep Guaridiola's men 2-3 on Tuesday in the Champions League, Real Madrid are ready to get back to Liga action as they take on Osasuna at the weekend. But preparations for Saturday's clash saw the absences of five players due to injuries.
Long-term absentees Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao missed out on Thursday morning's training session for Carlo Ancelotti alongside David Alaba, Antonio Rudiger and Lucas Vazquez, with the Spaniard joining the list ahead of the trip to the Eithad due to a hamstring injury.
Among the players mentioned above, David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger have a shot at featuring at the Bernabeu for the return leg on Wednesday against Manchester City. Should they recover in time, the duo will be able to aid in Real Madrid's quest to book a place in the last 16 of the Champions League.
That said, reports from Spain have informed that the 'Merengues' will be deprived of Alaba and Rudiger's services for the visit to Osasuna's El Sadar. Despite their absences, Real Madrid will be keen on sealing three points to boost their title bid as they sit one point ahead of local rivals Atletico at the top of the Spanish flight.
