Spain could potentially see themselves without Lamine Yamal for their upcoming Nations League match against Serbia on Tuesday. La 'Roja' risk losing both of their star boys, as Nico Williams withdrew from the squad before the Denmark clash due to injury.
The Barcelona winger was spotted limping as he left the Enrique Roca de Murcia stadium following Spain's 1-0 against Denmark on Saturday. He will undergo medical examinations on Sunday to determine the extent of his injury, which will confirm whether he will be available for the Serbia game.
According to sources gathered by 'Mundo Deportivo' from the Spanish Football Association, initial examinations indicate a muscle discomfort in the left leg for the 17-year-old. Spain could look to rest the player for their second game of this international break as a congested fixture schedule awaits for him back at Barcelona.
Spain boss Luis de la Fuente spoke on Lamine Yamal during a press conference: "Football is like this, you have to adhere with the hard play that the regulations allow. The referee judges the limits. Young players and prospects have to get used to this as referees are the ones who set the boundary".
