Alarm bells ring in Madrid after Endrick stretchered off the pitch
Endrick, who will be heading to Real Madrid this summer, ended the Palmeiras-Independiente del Valle Libertadores match injured. In the 60th minute he had to be substituted and could not leave on his own feet, he had to do so on a stretcher and with obvious signs of pain. The 'Merengue' club hopes that it is just a minor injury.

Palmeiras beat Independiente del Valle 2-1. A free-kick from Colombian Richard Rios and a penalty from Paraguay's Gustavo Gomez saw them advance to the last 16 of the Libertadores, but it was not all good news.
Sao Paulo's Allianz Parque was delighted by Endrick and Estevao's impressive skills, until the No 9 went off injured in the 60th minute, on the eve of leaving with the Brazilian national team to play in the Copa America in the United States and heading for Real Madrid.
In a completely solo action, after a run, Endrick began to limp. He tried to stay on the pitch, but was unable to do so and fell to the ground.
The youngster was unable to leave on his own feet and was stretchered off. During the time he was lying on the grass, he could be seen in pain. On the bench, he tried to take a few steps, but did so limping.
The Brazilian press are optimistic that it is just a muscular problem, although they hope it is not serious. Real Madrid and, obviously, the 'Selecao', who are counting on him for the Copa America, will be keeping a close eye on his condition. Brazil's opening game is on 24th June against Costa Rica, so we will have to see if, by then, the striker is in perfect condition.
