Liverpool's defensive options for the latest Merseyside derby at Goodison Park continue to be in flux, with contrasting news regarding key players such as Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez.
Manager Arne Slot revealed that Alexander-Arnold, who has missed the Reds' last two matches, has partially resumed training and could feature against Everton.
"Trent has done parts of training sessions with us. Not 'sessions', a session, yesterday," Slot claimed during Tuesday's press conference.
However, the situation is less optimistic for Joe Gomez, who was forced off early in Sunday's FA Cup defeat at Plymouth Argyle.
Slot confirmed Gomez's unavailability for the derby, stating, "Joe, it's the same leg where he had the injury last time. We are still assessing that but he will definitely not be available tomorrow".
The manager expressed concern about the recurring nature of Gomez's injury, which had previously sidelined him for 10 matches.
With Alexander-Arnold's participation uncertain and Gomez ruled out, Liverpool may turn to Conor Bradley at right-back, who impressed in recent outings.
