Trent Alexander-Arnold's contract with Liverpool expires in June 2025 and speculation is already rife in England about his next destination. Andros Townsend and Chris Sutton have both tipped Real Madrid as his next destination, with both agreeing that an offer from the Spanish giants cannot be turned down.

England right-back Alexander-Arnold is close to leaving Anfield unless Liverpool offer him a contract renewal in the coming months. His current contract expires in a year and speculation is already rife as to what decision he will make.
Several former players spoke about his future on the BBC's 'Monday Night Club' debate, and more than one sees him playing in La Liga next season. Andros Townsend believes he may not be looking for a move, but if Real Madrid offer him a chance he won't have to think about it too much.
"I don't think he necessarily wants to leave Liverpool or is looking to leave, but Real Madrid is Real Madrid," said the former Tottenham and Everton player.
"If there is interest from Real Madrid, I don't think as a player you can turn it down. You can't say no. He's won the Champions League and the Premier League with Liverpool, he's won everything. I don't think he can turn Real Madrid down," he insisted.
Fellow former player Chris Sutton agreed with Townsend, although he does not understand why Liverpool have not tried to renew him already if that is their intention.
"I think he will go to Madrid. It's unusual for a club the size of Liverpool and why he's in the last year of his contract. This shouldn't be happening, how many clubs are there out there bigger than Madrid?" he added.
