The Brazilian striker publicly showed his support for the Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati and Raphinha, who suffered racial abuse during 'El Clasico' on Saturday, as he spoke out via a post on his official X account on Sunday.
"What happened yesterday at the Bernabue with the racist insults is shameful. There's no room for these criminals in our society. All my support goes to Lamine, Ansu and Raphinha. I'm sure Real Madrid and the police will do what's necessary in order to identify and punish the culprits," he wrote.
Shortly before the Vinicius' words, Real Madrid announced that they "opened an investigation" to find the few 'los Blancos' fans that initiated the insults. The club also confirmed that "disciplinary and legal action" will be taken against the responsible individuals.
The decision was taken after the final whistle of Saturday's match - which saw Barcelona thrash Madrid by four goals - as videos circulating around social media captured fans shouting racists insults towards Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde, following the former's goal at the 77th minute of the clash.
