Amorim has emerged as the favourite to take over at Manchester United following Erik ten Hag's sacking. Moreover, his club Sporting Lisbon have confirmed the English club's interest.
The 39-year-old has declined to reveal his future decision but has ruled nothing out at the moment, with the Portuguese expected to travel to England with three of his backroom staff in the coming hours to finalise his new deal with the Red Devils.
Both parties are still negotiating Amorim's notice period although he is unlikely to be available for the Premier League outfit until after the November international break. As a result, Amorim will not be in charge of his future team's acid test against Chelsea.
