Since Man United announced the departure of goalkeeper David De Gea on Saturday after 12 seasons as a Red Devil, many teammates and former United players have sent the Spaniard touching messages, praising his long career in the Premier League.
One message came from forward Antony, who joined United from Ajax half way through last season. Asked by 'Sky Sports' if he had a goodbye message for De Gea, the 23-year-old said, "For me it was an honour to play beside David De Gea. For the history and the friendship we have, I wish [him] all the best in the world".
The Brazilian was also asked about his goals for next season with the Red Devils, who will return to the Champions League after a one-year absence after finishing third in the Premier League last season.
He was concise in his objectives saying, "It's a new season, we will put United in first place and our wish is to win a title". After De Gea's departure, there are no longer any current United players who were present for the team's last Premier League title in 2012-2013.
