With the winter transfer window open for Real Madrid's defensive reinforcements, Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti did not close the door on the arrival of a new player, but did not want to talk about the possibility of Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract expires on 30 June.
"Talking in this context is complicated, we'll see," he replied when asked directly about the Liverpool defender, who the club have been tracking for months and are considering signing him in the winter transfer window for an affordable fee or at the end of the season at no transfer cost.
"We have a lot of games in January, we are focused on that and nothing else. Talking about the market is not easy for me at the moment," Ancelotti admitted.
"I don't want to talk because I don't think it's the right time to do it here, we'll see what's going to happen considering that I'm delighted with the squad I have and that we've had difficulties that we've been able to solve," he added.
