Brazil have managed to convince Carlo Ancelotti to become the coach of the national team. The Italian manager will take charge of the 'Canarinha' from 2024.
Brazilian Confederation president Ednaldo Rodrigues made the announcement in a video on social media after appointing Fernando Diniz as national team coach for this year. Ancelotti will start his new job when his contract with Real Madrid expires.
"His [Diniz] game plan is almost similar to that of the coach that will take over at Copa America, Ancelotti. We don't call him an interim coach of the national team. He will come and make the transition in Brazil for Ancelotti," he claimed.
The 64-year-old will coach the Brazilian national team at the Copa America in the United States in 2024. Meanwhile, Diniz will be in charge of Brazil.
