Kimmich is one of the stars of a Bayern side that beat Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday. The German midfielder's contract expires in June 2025 and he must decide whether to sign a new contract with the German club or sign for another club as a free agent.
The Germany international has been on the radar of top European clubs for several years including FC Barcelona and most recently Manchester United, who are reportedly interested in bringing the 29-year-old midfielder under Ruben Amorim.
Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl was asked about Kimmich's uncertain future, to which the board member said his decision will depend on whether he wants to become a Bayern legend or embark on another big adventure in his career.
"He has to decide whether he wants another big adventure in his career or whether he wants to become legend at Bayern. When he's ready and says yes, we want to make the renewal happen," he said.
