Turkey's Arda Guler has informed Real Madrid of his decision to give up his holidays, and instead of joining on 20 July, he will do so from the first day, Monday 10th July, to prove his qualities to Carlo Ancelotti and earn a place in the squad after firmly stating his refusal to be loaned out.
After showing personality at the age of 18 at his presentation last Friday as a new Real Madrid player, Guler has decided not to use up his holidays and start training on the first day of Madrid's pre-season.
The Turkish midfielder will be one of the Real Madrid first team players who will begin training sessions on Monday afternoon at the Valdebebas sports complex, after a morning dedicated to medical examinations.
Although all international players who finished the season later, in the case of Guler due to two Nations League matches against Latvia and Wales, have Real Madrid's permission to join the pre-season camp on 20th July directly in the United States, Madrid's latest signing has opted to do so from day one.
The last match Güler played to close the last season by achieving a historic record, becoming the youngest player to score a goal for the Turkish national team, was on 19th June. In this way, he has enjoyed a 20-day holiday, marked by negotiations with several clubs to leave Fenerbahce, the final agreement with Real Madrid and his presentation.
