Former Atletico Madrid and Barcelona player Arda Turan will take charge of the Turkish Under-21 team. The former footballer has obtained his UEFA A coaching licence and will replace coach Tolunay Kafkas.

Arda Turan's debut on the bench could come very soon. The Turkish player announced that he was hanging up his boots last September. Since then, he has been studying to become a coach.
According to 'TRT Spor', the former Atletico Madrid and Barcelona player, among others, has been chosen to lead the Turkey U21 national team. He would thus be the replacement for Tolunay Kafkas.
The former Galatasaray player recently obtained a UEFA licence, with a Diploma A, which is required to manage a football team at professional level.
The appointment has not yet been made official, but, according to the aforementioned media, the Federation will not take long to do so, as the position of head coach is vacant.
