Fabrizio Romano reports that Liverpool and Feyenoord have signed all the necessary paperwork for Arne Slot to leave the Dutch club and join the English side for next season. Arne Slot is under contract until 2026 at Feyenoord, but Liverpool are seeking his services as Jurgen Klopp's replacement from the summer. As all three parties are in agreement, the Reds will take him in exchange for a sum of between €15m and €18m in compensation for the Dutch side to allow him to leave. Fabrizio Romano says that the paperwork has already been signed.
Negotiations have progressed quite quickly in recent days, as the Eredivisie outfit's management have never wanted to stand between their coach and his future aspirations. His bosses understandably want him to take this step forward in his career, which will require someone to take his place in the Netherlands. Kenneth Perez, a former player in his league, proposes Dick Schreuder, the Castellon coach.
"It's crucial to see who Feyenoord choose now. If they don't choose the right coach, they could be back in contention to finish fourth or fifth in the Eredivisie. Schreuder? Of course his profile would suit Feyenoord, he would be a good coach for the top three in the table," he said on an 'ESPN' talk show. This does not mean that there has been any contact between the Castellon boss and the Rotterdam club. At least for the moment.
The coach already knows the domestic championship of his country from his time at PEC Zwolle, where he left a very good impression. In the 'Primera Federacion', he has managed to get his team into first place in Group II ahead of Cordoba, Ibiza, Malaga and Ceuta. There is a gap of 8 points between them and the second-placed team, so they are clear candidates for promotion to the Second Division.
