The Gunners did their job well as they beat Manchester United 1-0 on Sunday to challenge for this season's Premier League title. However, their destiny is in the hands of Manchester City, who need to win their final two matches against Tottenham and West Ham to secure a record fourth consecutive English title.
Meanwhile, Arsenal can just make sure they don't stumble in their last game of the season against Everton and hope that their direct rivals are unable to overtake them on points. They saw their dreams dashed by the Sky Blues last season and they don't want a repeat of that.
Neither they nor their fans. So much so that some Arsenal fans took it upon themselves to disrupt the Manchester City players' rest outside the hotel where they thought the players were staying in London ahead of Tuesday's encounter against Spurs.
They decided to set off fireworks and firecrackers to break the concentration of Pep Guardiola's men in their title race. In fact, they proudly filmed their actions and posted them anonymously on social media.
Nonetheless, City's squad did not spend the night in the English capital.
