Arsenal finally close to Saliba extension

After the renewals of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel, Gabriel Martinelli and Aaron Ramsdale, the next talent set to stay with Arsenal finally looks to be William Saliba.
The Frenchman would be out of contract in 2024, thus free to leave the club next summer, but the London side have worked hard to lock him down until 2027. An agreement seems to have been reached between the two parties according to 'The Atheltic'.
The defender arrived in London in 2019, but subsequently spent three seasons on loan at Saint-Etienne, Nice and then Olympique Marseille, before becoming a key figure in Mik Arteta's starting XI this year.
He was crucial in helping his side finish 2nd in the Premier League this season and played 33 games until a back injury took him out of action in March.
Saliba had been attracting strong interest from other Premier League clubs, prompting Arsenal to offer the 22-year-old an immediate contract extension, which would run until 2027, three years longer than his current deal.
