Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said in an interview with 'ESPN' that his team should have won the Premier League title last season just because of their great statistics.

The Gunners are still digesting not having lifted the Premier League trophy last campaign. They again finished second in the table to Manchester City, who have already taken two titles from them in the last two seasons.
The Premier League title for the 2023/24 term was decided in the last match due to the tightness of the competition between these two English teams. In the end it was Guardiola's men who added another trophy to their history despite Arsenal's superb efforts.
"When you are analytical and you gather all the stats and everything the team has done over the past 11 months in the Premier League, we should have won it. That's what the stats say," Arteta told 'ESPN'.
"The reality is that we didn't so there is something that is there that we haven't managed as well as Man City or other clubs in the past. I think we understand where those margins are. I think we have come very far," he added.
Arsenal are already strengthening their squad for next season as they will not rest until they achieve their goals. They have already secured the permanent transfer of David Raya, who will remain as first-choice goalkeeper in the squad.
