William Saliba has completed a magnificent season with the Gunners, who competed with Manchester City for the Premier League title until the last matchday of the season. The French centre-back played every minute of the 38 league games, scoring two goals and providing an assist.
This great season has earned the centre-back the call from Didider Deschamps to go to EURO 2024 with the senior team of the French national team, but that's not all, as Thierry Henry would also like to have him under his orders for the next Olympic Games with France.
This is where the problems come in, according to ‘Le Parisien’, Arsenal have intervened as the club does not want William Saliba to participate in the two international competitions this summer as he would accumulate a lot of playing time and risk injury.
This loss for the Olympics would be yet another setback for Thierry Henry who is already getting used to the idea that Kylian Mbappe will not be there either as his new club, which if nothing goes wrong is likely to be Madrid, is reportedly not going to let him go either.
