Despite having the better chances in the first half, Arsenal struggled to find the finishing touch, with West Ham capitalising on their opportunities to take the lead. The match took a turning point when Arsenal's Lewis-Skelly was shown a straight red card after a VAR review for denying Kudus a clear goal-scoring chance with dangerous play.
