Marco Asensio scored twice as Villa came from one goal down to beat Chelsea 2-1 on Saturday in the Premier League, handing Maresca's men a setback in their bid to finish off the season in top-four.

Chelsea headed into the break with a one-goal lead thanks to Enzo Fernandez, who fired the Blues ahead with a tap-in from Pedro Neto's low cross. But Asensio struck twice in the second half to turn the scoreline around. The Spaniard was served by Rashford, who squared the ball in the middle from Cash's cross, to hook the ball home from a couple of yards. The referee had disallowed the goal but a presumed offside from Rashford but it was restored following a VAR check. Asensio bagged his brace as he volleyed Rashford's lobbed pass from range. Chelsea goalkeeper Jorgensen looked to have saved the shot but the ball then squirmed under his body to get past the goal line and hand the Villains the win.
