"Atletico are ambitious, we don't want to finish fourth every year"
Koke spoke to the media after the 'Colchoneros' 3-0 win over Getafe. Asked about Atletico's objectives, he regretted that the team has not been able to win any titles this season and said that, for next season, the challenge will be to fight for trophies, although "some come and some don't".

Atletico Madrid captain Koke Resurreccion said his side are "ambitious" and "don't want to finish fourth every year" after qualifying mathematically for the Champions League with a 3-0 win at Getafe, while remarking that they must "also give value" to this fact.
"The team is ambitious. Obviously, we don't want to finish fourth every year and not win titles. We fight for titles every year. Some happen and some don't. We set objectives set by the club, to be in the top four, which keeps us in a good financial position to bring in good players," he said.
"I'm happy with the objective achieved, but I would have liked to win titles. We have now been in the Champions League for 12 years in a row and we have to value that too. Next season could be beautiful," he added.
"We are happy to achieve the objective set by the club. It's not easy to be in the Champions League for so many years in a row. We are happy with the great game we played, we have two games left and we are going to win them," said Koke after the match at the Coliseum.
"In the end, I think it's not easy to be in Europe year after year. We are in a very competitive team and we want to win as many titles as possible. If we win the two remaining games, we will end the season with 79 points. The year we won La Liga we ended with 86 points. We have to improve a lot of things, away from home too, but we are on track to achieve our objective. Let's see what we set ourselves next year," continued the captain.
"With the players we have, we have always tried to compete. We've often done very well. We'll see what happens at the end of the season, what team we can put together. Now we have to win both games. At home we've had a good season, we've won all but two and at the end of the season we'll see what we're going to do," he insisted.
