"Atletico are doing a great job despite the criticism"

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo said on Wednesday that "although many were nervous, a great job is being done to improve the squad" with the signings of Robin Le Normand, Alexander Sorloth and Julian Alvarez.
"The summer is the time to work hard to get the plans moving forward in the best way. Although many were nervous before it was advisable, a lot of work is being done to improve the squad. This step forward will help us to continue to grow as we have been doing for the last few years," he said at the presentation of Robin Le Normand.
The 27-year-old arrived at Atletico after playing for Real Sociedad, with whom he won the Copa del Rey in 2020 and played 221 games, scoring six goals. The club's president, who described the player as "a veteran of La Liga", welcomed him and showed his pride that he can defend the Madrid club's colours.
"The player we are presenting is a veteran of La Liga. In San Sebastian, he has earned a great deal of affection and here you are sure to succeed. We are proud that, from now on, you will be defending this shirt. Now you will be able to feel the special support of our fans," he added.
