Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo said on Wednesday hours before the second leg of the Champions League semi-final between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich that "if there can be a Spanish team in the final, all the better".
"I have to go to a dinner, and the truth is that we won't be able to see it, although it will be a great match in which neither of them will have it easy. But if there can be a Spanish team in the final, so much the better," Cerezo told reporters.
His team have failed to reach the semi-finals after Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund knocked them out in the quarter-finals. The Germans have been the sensation of this year's competition, not only knocking out Atletico, they have also seen off PSG and booked their ticket to Wembley.
