Atletico Madrid continue to shape their squad for the 2024/25 season. They are working on a rebuilding of the squad and are expected to move on from some of the club's more experienced players.
The board wants to strengthen the defence in the face of the possible departures of both Mario Hermoso and Stefan Savic. The one who is certain to stay is Axel Witsel, who has made his renewal until 2025 official.
The name that, according to 'Marca', is on the table to fill the gap at the back is that of David Hancko. The Feyenoord centre-back would arrive to replace Hermoso on the left side of the three central defenders proposed by coach Simeone.
David Hancko has shone this season at Feyenoord as the Slovakian has participated in 48 matches in which he has scored seven goals and provided three assists. The possible arrival of Hancko plus the addition of Le Normand from Real Sociedad, if it is finalised, would be two good reinforcements for the Argentinian coach.
