From Argentina, several media outlets have claimed on Friday that talks for the signing of Julian Alvarez by Atletico Madrid have speeded up. But 'DirecTV' has gone one step further: they consider the transfer practically a done deal. The 'Colchoneros' will pay 70 million euros fixed and there could be a series of add-ons with a total sum of another 20.

On Friday, it was surprising to hear from Argentina that Julian Alvarez has been linked with Atletico Madrid. The Argentinian, until now a target (and even for some, a dream) among others, seems to have opted for the Spanish team, who would already have practically tied the arrival of the striker.
'DirecTV' offered details about these last-minute moves. The Argentina striker would have made the decision to give the green light to Atletico during the training camp with the U-23 national team at the Olympic Games. Specifically, at the hotel in Bordeaux, where, together with his agent, he gave the go ahead to join Cholo Simeone's team. The news would become official once the 'Albiceleste' finishes its participation in the Olympics.
It is precisely the Argentine coach who is one of the major players responsible for this move. He asked the still Manchester City player to a board of directors who will have to break the bank to satisfy the coach. 'TyC Sports' puts the transfer at a fixed amount of 70 million euros plus add-ons of around 20 million.
Julian's main objective is to have more prominence than at the Mancunian side. The striker, although he has had quality playing time and is highly regarded by Pep Guardiola, sees how Erling Haaland's shadow is too long. But in this scenario, Atletico is not the only option he has, as, according to the above-mentioned information, PSG have also knocked on his door.
Apparently, the agent of Alvarez will thank the Parisians for their interest and will even travel to the French capital for it, but will inform that the 'Colchoneros' are the chosen destination for the attacker. In addition to Cholo, compatriots Rodrigo de Paul and Nahuel Molina also reportedly insisted on him considerably during the last Copa America.
