Atletico president confirms Alvarez signing is 'unlikely'

According to the latest reports, Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez. Paris Saint-Germain are also in the race for the Argentinian. He scored 19 goals last season for Pep Guardiola's side.
On 'UnoTV' they asked president Enrique Cerezo what is true in these rumours and he wanted to clear all doubts: "Julian Alvarez is a Manchester City player and it is unlikely that he is not going to move from there," he claimed.
On a different note, he also commented on the signing of Kylian Mbappe by their eternal rivals: "He's a good player for La Liga, he really is a very well-known and very good international player. I think he strengthens the tournament and will be a good reinforcement for Real Madrid, unquestionably."
Finally, he spoke about Spain and the European Championship, which is just around the corner. "I hope it will be one of the candidates for the title, there are some great teams and all the national teams are at a high level, but we are confident," he concluded.
