Atletico Madrid are having problems in defence this season and this has caused the Spanish side to move in the market in search of a centre-back. Robin Le Normand could be the one, according to journalist Marco Antonio Sandedurante on 'COPE'.
According to the player's entourage, the defender wants to join the Madrid club. So far, the player's inner circle has been more cautious about Le Normand's desire to land in the Spanish capital.
Le Normand's termination clause is 60 million euros, so Atletico will be forced to negotiate to reduce that figure. Javi Galan could be part of this negotiation as Real Sociedad want to keep the left-back for next season.
If Le Normand leaves, Real Sociedad have Zubeldia, Jon Pacheco and Aritz Elustondo in their squad. Elsewhere, journalist Sandedurante also spoke about Mikel Merino, who finishes his contract with the club in June. The midfielder has not finalised his renewal and a move to Diego Simeone's side is on the table.
