The 2022-23 season is coming to an end and Joao Felix will have to pack his bags soon. His loan at Chelsea is about to expire, unless the Blues reach an agreement with Atletico to continue counting on the Portuguese.
However, Joao Felix has doubts about his continuity at Stamford Bridge. The player wants to play in the Champions League and the Londoners are currently languishing in 11th place, meaning they will be out of next season's competition.
Newcastle, also interested in the striker, would be another option. The Magpies could offer him in sporting terms what Joao Felix demands, the fact of playing in the Champions League, and he is one of the new riches of the Premier League, so they could also meet Atletico Madrid's demands.
According to 'Marca', the Madrid side are thinking of asking for a figure of around 100 million euros for Joao Felix. They bought him for 120 from Benfica and want to recoup almost all of their investment.
Last summer, Newcastle invested almost 200 kilos in signings, so at the Metropolitano side they hope that they will have no problems in breaking the bank for for the striker. We will have to see what happens after June.
