Mario Hermoso and Thomas Lemar were the only absentees from Atletico Madrid's training session, which took place on Friday morning at Cerro del Espino in Majadahonda (Madrid) ahead to the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund.
The Spanish defender suffered a left thigh muscle injury on 16 March that ruled him out of the defeat to Barcelona on matchday 29 and the away win over Villareal on Monday, while the Frenchman has been out since 19 September, when he ruptured his Achilles tendon in the matchday 5 fixture.
The red and white team are preparing for a week in which they will play three extremely important matches in eight days: next Wednesday 10th, at the Civitas Metropolitano, the first leg of the quarter finals of the Champions League against Dortmund; then, also at their stadium, the 31st round of La Liga against Girona with three very important points in the fight to finish in the top four, and finally, on 16th April, at the Signal Iduna Park, in the second leg of the quarter finals.
Because of the Copa del Rey final between Athletic Club and Mallorca, there will be no league, so Cholo Simeone's side will spend eight days without playing, from the victory against Villareal at the Estadio de La Ceramica to the European game at the Metropolitano.
