Atletico's Omorodion move to Chelsea key to Julian Alvarez's arrival
After Atletico Madrid and Manchester City reportedly reached an 80 million deal for Julian Alvarez, the 'Colchoneros' must make a big sale to get the deal done. Chelsea would be interested in signing the Madrid side's striker Samu Omorodion for a transfer in the region of 40 million.

Julian Alvarez will be the icing on the cake of Atletico's project for the 2024-25 season. However, for this express request, and desire, of Diego Simeone to come to fruition, another condition will have to be met first: Samu Omorodion and Chelsea are the other side of the deal.
Atletico's interest in Gallagher made Chelsea consider the option of the young Spanish striker. A deal that would have the approval of the 'Colchoneros' board as long as the figures reached 40-45 million euros and the club was guaranteed the arrival of Julian Alvarez.
With that money and without City's resistance, Atletico Madrid will be able to carry out the operation. The talks with the English club have been conducted first hand by Atlético's CEO Gil Marin and City's Ferran Soriano.
On the other hand, Pep Guardiola did count on the presence of Julian for the new season. However, the Spanish coach was not very happy with the striker's words, leaving the door open to a possible exit. What was clear to the English side was that they were not going to let him leave at any price, so the Madrid side have had to increase the figures, which, if it happens, will be the most expensive sale of the Mancunian side.
The image rights, where Julian Alvarez will receive 100%, as well as a family issue, as the family of the Argentinian striker was planning to move to Madrid, have been crucial for the attacker to finalise his future. The arrival of Julian Alvarez at Atletico seems more and more a reality very close and could be made official in the next few hours.
