Alejandro Balde was replaced in the 46th minute of the Euro 2024 qualifier against Scotland due to a hamstring injury. The 19-year-old left Spain's training camp, the Catalan club announced on Friday.
"Test conducted this Friday on full back Alejandro Balde have confirmed that he has an adductor injury in one of his hamstrings. It means he will be unavailable for selection until the problem heals," they wrote on Twitter.
The left-back will miss Spain's next match against Norway and is a doubt for Barcelona's upcoming games. He has already been replaced by Alfonso Pedraza, who plays for La Liga side Villarreal, to take his place in Spanish coach Luis de la Fuente's squad.
Balde could also be unavailable for the upcoming 'El Clasico' against Real Madrid in La Liga. Spanish manager Xavi Hernandez will be without several key players such as Lamine Yamal, Jules Kounde, Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong, among others.
