Barca and Atletico join Madrid condolences for DANA storm

The DANA that is sweeping and wreaking havoc across parts of Spain has generated a huge response in Spanish football. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have issued official statements expressing their condolences following Real Madrid.

More than fifty people dead, people missing and countless material damages. The DANA is causing chaos in Spain, especially in the south of the country and the Levante area. The tremendous consequences of the storm have generated a unanimous response from Spanish football, which has immediately shown its solidarity with those affected and their families.
For example, Real Madrid, by means of a statement on its website, expressed their condolences to the families and loved ones of those who have died as a result of the floods caused by the storm that has hit mainly the east and south of Spain.
There has also been a public response from La Liga Catalan clubs. FC Barcelona, Espanyol and Girona have posted messages of solidarity on their social networks addressed to all those affected by the storm.
"FC Barcelona would like to express our condolences to the families of the victims and our solidarity with the affected regions of Valencia and areas of Albacete and Andalusia due to the torrential rains," reads the message published by the club on the social network X.

Within this framework of solidarity, Atletico Madrid also conveyed on Wednesday "their deepest condolences to the families of those who died" in the floods. "Our deepest condolences to the families of those who died in the floods in Valencia and all our solidarity with those affected in this province, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalusia and Aragon," the club said through its official channels.
