Barca announce Inaki Pena's renewal until 2026

The goalkeeper Inaki Pena and Barcelona have reached an agreement to renew his contract until 30th June 2026, with a release clause of 400 million euros, according to a statement from the club on Tuesday.
The Spanish goalie, 24 years old, has been at the club since 2012, when he arrived at La Masia barely a teenager. In the 2018/19 season he moved to Barca's reserve team and started to train there.
Before his debut with the first team, he went on loan in January 2022 to Galatasaray, who he played eight matches with, two in the Europa League against Barcelona's first team. Since January 3rd 2023, he has officially been part of the Barcelona first squad.
His debut came in November, when he played a Champions League match away against Viktoria Pilsen (2-4). Since then, wearing number '13', he has played two more official games, both in the Copa del Rey this season.
The first was against Intercity-Barca (3-4) in the Round of 16 and then again in the Round of 8 against Ceuta (0-5). The renewal of the keeper's contract took place on Tuesday in the offices of the Camp Nou, in the presence of the president, Joan Laporta.
