Since getting the green light from La Liga on their plan of financial viability and getting the final answer of Leo Messi's future, Barcelona are putting all hands to work putting together a plan for the squad next season, starting with a meeting on Friday, according to 'Mundo Deportivo'.
The outlet reported that there was a meeting of more than two hours between coach Xavi Hernandez, sporting director Mateu Alemany, technical director Deco and president Joan Laporta, among others, to figure out the roadmap with absolute priority given to the registration of players as well as entries and exits.
The 'Cule' coach has asked the board to make an effort to find a replacement for Sergio Busquets and all eyes are on Zubimendi (Real Sociedad). Other names mentioned are those of City's Ilkay Gundogan and Bayern's Joshua Kimmich.
The Catalan newspaper noted out that the club has placed Kessie on the market and that both Nico and Abde have options to continue. In addition, the option of signing another striker is on the table, since the idea is to have an alternative to Lewandowski.
All this is ahead of Xavi's renewal, who is said to want 12 million. Even months ahead of the August transfer window, Barcelona is putting the plays in motion to make important signings this summer.
