Barcelona confirmed on Saturday that Andreas Christensen will be out for an undefined amount of time. Barcelona had, much to their disdain, another patient in the medic's room at the Camp Nou. Andreas Christensen is the one concered, as he went off after 18 minutes in the Denmark-Finland clash in their Euro 2024 qualifying game.
The Sapnish giants made the defender's stint out official, as the player will be experiencing his own 'FIFA virus'. According to the 'Cule's medics, the player seems to have a calf injury, and when he returns will "depend on his progress".
Andreas Christensen felt unwell during the game, according to Danish coach Kasper Hjulmand: "He realised something wasn't right in his calf. That's all that I know". This blow arrives at the worst time possible for Xavi.
Barcelona are looking ahead to the cup El Clasico which is just around the corner. 'AS' reported on Friday that the initial examinations estimated that he will be out for approximately three to four weeks.
The Dane is being forced to stop at a crucial moment in the season. The player's history of injuries is continuing to annoy the full-back after arriving at the Catalan side this season.
