The agreement for the Lluis Companys stadium runs until 31st March. The ‘Clasico’ against Real Madrid is scheduled for 11th May, for which the club would no longer have the concession of the Olympic Stadium. If the works at the Camp Nou were not ready in time, the club would have a ‘plan B’.

Barcelona are still working on how they will close the season in their home games. Beyond the commitment they must make in the Champions League when thery have to inform UEFA where they will play the play-offs, they are also looking ahead to the rest of the competitions. Without yet knowing when the work at the Camp Nou will be completed, what they do know is that theirconcession for the Olympic Stadium Lluis Companys ends at the end of March. From then on, they will have to return to the Camp Nou -or to another temporary destination-.
That is why, according to ‘Que T'hi Jugues’ on ‘Cadena SER’, the club are studying the possibility of moving the ‘Clasico’ in May. In case the Camp Nou is not ready, Barca would consider, as a ‘plan B’, to find another European stadium outside Spain that could host the duel between Barcelona and Real Madrid. This is not the priority, which is more about trying to complete the process to reach at least 60% capacity, which would leave some 62,000 seats available for the match.
Bearing in mind that it would be a complication for members, it would be in an attractive city with a large stadium that would also allow them to maintain the important revenue that a ‘Clasico’ like this one usually generates, which could also decide the league championship in those last few days. The aforementioned media outlet talks about 8-10 million euros in revenue for a Barca-Madrid match. A figure that, at present, is vital for the club's coffers.
At the moment it is not something that has been passed on to the other parties, but an alternative that would be on the table in the event that the planning with the Camp Nou continues to decrease in pace and does not ensure its availability for the date of the ‘Clasico’, already in the month of May. If they finally opt for this route of trying to take the match abroad, they would have to have the validation of La Liga and RFEF.
