Although Ousmane Dembele appears to have given the green light to a move to join PSG, he wants to leave Barcelona on good terms. Rather than rushing through the deal so the French club only have to pay 50 million euros, the winger wants to negotiate and reach an agreement, while Xavi Hernandez is still trying to convince him to stay with the Catalan club.

The drama surrounding Ousmane Dembele's move to Paris Saint-Germain has sprung up almost impossible quickly. The entire operation looks to be a race against the clock, as if the French club can wrap up the deal before midnight on July 31st, they will only have to pay €50 million.
If they fail to do so, they will have to pay double the amount, as from August 1st, Dembele's termination clause will return to €100 million. Although the winger would see half of the €50 million paid if the deal is finished on Monday, according to 'Mundo Deportivo' that's not what he wants.
The outlet reports that the French international has asked Barcelona for time to negotiate with the Ligue 1 champions, as he wants to ensure he ends his six seasons with the Catalan club on good terms. The same source writes that the Spanish club have agreed to give him five days for him and his agent to work out the deal.
While PSG want him to sign on Monday, and Dembele wants more time, Barcelona reportedly still want him to stay. The winger turned down their latest offer of renewal, despite the fact that he remains a key part of Xavi Hernandez's squad.
It was the 26-year-old who opened the scoring against Real Madrid, as Barcelona beat their old rivals 3-0 in a pre-season 'Clasico' played in Dallas. He is currently with the squad in Texas, and the aforementioned source reports that he will fly with them to Las Vegas, where they will play their last pre-season friendly against AC Milan.
