Barca make intentions clear: "We're in contact with Messi"
Vice President of FC Barcelona Rafael Yuste said in the press conference that he would personally love to have Leo Messi back at Barca. What's more, admitted that the club are in contact with the Argentine.

It's a well-known secret that Barcelona want Leo Messi back. In fact, according to latest reports, it seems that in meetings with the board and Xavi's staff, his name has come up as one of the main parts of the side in the 2023-24 season.
In a press conference, Vice President of FC Barcelona Rafael Yuste was asked if he would ask Messi to return if he'd like to have him once more at the Camp Nou and if there was contact: "I'd say yes, completely", he said, suprising everyone.
"Leo and his family know how much we care about them. I have the thorn in my side that Messi couldn't stay", he continued.
In fact, Rafa Yuste tried to get him to stay before he packed his bags to go to PSG, something which he still rethinks today: "I was involved in the negotiations to keep him in his time, but unfortunately it didn't come to fruition".
"If we're talking about La Masia, we're talking about Leo Messi. I'd like him to come back of his own accord and I'm sure a lot of fans will share that feeling. Life's fairytale's have to come to a good end", he said.
And, to conclude, he made it clear that there is contact with Messi and his entourage. "We're in contact, of course with them", he said to end. These are comments which help keep the Barca fans dreaming of a return for the Argentine.
