The Spanish National Team was gathered on Tuesday morning in Las Rozas. Marc Casado, Samu Omorodion and Aitor Paredes, the new faces in a group that included the return of Dani Olmo, Nico Williams, Ayoze Perez, Yeremy Pino and Bryan Gil, who was called up by Luis de la Fuente due to the absence of Lamine Yamal.
The Spanish players arrived progressively before sharing the first meal of the training camp and having time to rest before the first training session. It will be from 19:00 and open to the presence of fans, who will be able to donate the amount they wish with their ticket in a solidarity initiative of the Federation, ‘Jugamos por vosotros’, which is destined to "rebuild sports facilities in the areas affected by the DANA."
This will be repeated next Sunday in Tenerife, in training at the Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez on the eve of the match against Switzerland. Before that, they will complete 3 training sessions until Thursday afternoon, when they will fly to Copenhagen to face Denmark on Friday.
Already qualified for the quarter-finals of the Nations League, Spain need one point out of six to top the group, which would allow them to play a second-placed side - Croatia, Netherlands and France at the moment - and face the tie with the second leg at home.
De la Fuente will use the two matches to get as many of the called-up players as possible to play and to see the players coming up through the youth ranks. Paredes has been coached by De la Fuente in the past, and Omorodion and Casado are coming up from Santi Denia's U21s.
