Lamine Yamal has been called up to the Spanish national team for the first time. The Barcelona player has been included in Luis de la Fuente's squad for the UEFA Euro qualifiers.
The Spanish coach has chosen the young Barca talent before Morocco could overtake the Spaniards and keep Yamal to play for them.
The young Barca gem has already joined De la Fuente's team and has given his first words in an interview at the national team's training camp.
"It's incredible to be able to be living this. I'm waiting for things to come and enjoy them all to the fullest. I'm calm so far I used to being a little used to it there at Barca and let's see how it goes now."
"I have always played for Spain since the U15 and I have always been clear about it that I wanted to play for Spain, win the Euro, the World Cup and everything I could," said the Barca academy player.
Lamine Yamal's parents have already congratulated the 16-year-old player and are very proud of him, but warned the forward to be very cautious.
“Since I was a young I have played against much bigger people, she tells me to be careful of fouls and stuff. But I tell her to be calm and trust me,” added the new striker of the Spanish national team.
In the Spanish national team he will perform with his Barcelona teammates, Balde and Gavi, who have given him some advices and told him to enjoy himself and not to be afraid.
