Hansi Flick woke up on Thursday with a double joy. From now on, he can count on Alejandro Balde and Julian Araujo.
Especially positive is the recovery of Alejandro Balde, who played his last match with the 'Cules' on January 24th, 2024 against Athletic in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey. The player injured the hamstring tendon in his right thigh, an injury that forced him to undergo surgery at the end of that same month and, consequently, to miss the remainder of the season.
After a long six-month recovery, the left-back is now under the orders of Hansi Flick. He hopes that this time the injuries will respect him and that he can complete the season without any problems.
Julian Araujo, who was suffering from muscular problems, has also been released from the infirmary. Fortunately, he is already recovered and has time to get into rhythm during the preseason.
Barca will play Olot in the first friendly of the preseason and on July 28th they will head to the U.S. tour. In the Soccer Champions Tour, the Catalan team will face Manchester City, Real Madrid and Milan. They will then face Monaco at the Joan Gamper and will kick off La Liga 2024-25 against Valencia at Mestalla on August 17th at 9.30 pm.
