"Barca's doors are open to Messi" - Laporta

The Barca president said that the Argentine "had the doors open" in an interview with Joe Pimplano's YouTube channel 'The business and money behind sports'.

Leo Messi's transfer saga continues three months before the Argentine becomes a free agent and can leave PSG for free. The striker has yet to renew a contract that expires on 30th June 2023 and rumours spread like wildfire in the press.
The option of returning to Barcelona is very much on the Catalan giants' radar and a possible return of the '10' to the Camp Nou is already being considered. His farewell was not the best and he left angry with Joan Laporta and his way of doing things in the presidency.
However, that option is still open, despite the financial problems of the 'Cules'. In fact, the club's president gave an interview to Joe Pimplano's YouTube channel 'The business and money behind sports' in which he spoke about this.
"I have to find a way to improve Messi's current relationship with Barca. We'll see, but he knows that Barca's doors are open to him," said the 'Cules' chief in an interview granted on 28th February, but published on 23rd March.
He added: "Leo knows that we have him in our hearts, he is part of our crest. He is the best player in history and has been the most important player in Barca's history." He did, however, exercise extreme caution in the knowledge that he is still a PSG player.
"I have to be very careful what I say. Messi is a PSG player and I have to have respect," he said. Finally, he referred to the controversial decision he made in the summer of 2021: "The legacy I found when I became president was not a good one and I had to make a decision that I am not happy with.
